- WordsnCollision, on 11/20/2008, -1/+13Her new bigger bladder makes us all gladder.
- grantmoore3d, on 11/22/2008, -0/+1...for, she will no longer be sadder, because her new bladder, will reduce the splatter.
- AmyVernon, on 11/20/2008, -0/+7I really wanna make a joke, but that's very cool.
- ScottMcIntyre, on 11/20/2008, -0/+8Hold it in, Amy... hold it in ;-)

- runep, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1A robot bladder is pretty cool. Hopefully work in the metal ass department is progressing as well.
- mcarv, on 11/20/2008, -0/+3dugg for creepy staring doctor
- chompysweat, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1There's one guy you wouldn't want to piss off, so to speak.
- richgustavson, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2This is relevant to my interests.
- msaleem, on 11/21/2008, -1/+3Hunh... I didn't know robots had bladders /joke.
- Sublex, on 11/21/2008, -0/+5Gentlemen, we can rebuild her…better…faster…stronger…

- asgardshill, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Little drops of urine,
Upon the bathroom floor.
Make a most disgusting mess,
And make the porter sore.
So careful where you aim that thing,
For cleanliness is bliss.
Yes sit right there but have a care,
Then raise the seat, young miss. - RealmDown, on 11/21/2008, -1/+3Cool for the little girl, I know, but come on people we can write better titles!
"World's first robotic bladder reconstruction"
Why would a robot need a bladder in the first place ?- Spem, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Because when the robots can finally piss over the slain bodies of the human race, they will finally have the power to take over the world.
- sab0tage, on 11/21/2008, -0/+5Am I the only one to think the bladder was replaced with an artificial one, from the topic?
- ErikFlexner, on 11/21/2008, -5/+0very cool
http://www.hardcorecriminaldefense.com - senatorpjt, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2This article isn't about a robotic bladder, it's about a robotic surgeon.
- cfrog7, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1that is awesome
it still feels like robotic surgery is way off into the future, but we keep hearing about more and more procedures
also doctors who've played videogames are probably better at robotic surgery
http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2007/02/07022 ... - sstidman, on 11/21/2008, -0/+2In the 60s we had massive advances in rockets and space craft and everyone understood the significance of the achievements.
In the 70s, the massive advances were in the field of electronics, and everyone understood the significance.
In the 80s it was computers. In the 90s it was communications.
In this decade, massive advances are being made in the medical and biotechnology fields, but I don't think people really understand the significance of the achievements that have already been made or the potential for the things that are still in the lab. Every other field had their heros and legends that are known by the average person (i.e. Neil Armstrong, Bill Gates, etc), but I would guess that the average person would not know the name of a single person who has brought us some recent major advance in the medical or biotechnology fields. And the reason for that is that people don't understand and don't care to learn about what is going on there. And I don't really hear anyone outside of those fields calling for increased spending to accelerate advances in those fields. We still have people wanting to spend insane amounts of money on the space program. I like the space program, but it seems to me like our lives would benefit more by investing that money in the research that is being done now to reverse engineer the human body. It's not unrealistic to imagine that many diseases could be cured in our lifetime if we took the initiative to invest in those fields now. How about a Manhattan Project style effort to end breast cancer / AIDS / insert your favorite disease here?
I guess I don't understand why we don't cheer those scientists and their advancements like we did in past decades for other fields. I know you hear about them on Digg, but it's odd that none of those scientists are household names given the importance of some of the things they have created and problems they have solved. - Armstrong3, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1"Don't break the seal" takes on a whole new meaning....
- Andrwmorph, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Now she can pee with the power of a cyborg!
- drgkstep, on 11/21/2008, -0/+1Wow, I was looking forward to artificial muscles that would give me the strength of ten men, cyber-eyes that would let me record video and give me night-vision, but I guess this is a start.
- grantmoore3d, on 11/22/2008, -0/+1Awww... I read it as "robotic-assisted bladder" not... "robotic-assisted bladder-reconstruction"....

What is Digg?
