never heard, but dumb name - infernal6, on 11/18/2008, -4/+17Modest Mouse kick ass, and the name is fine. ***** off
- flashingcurser, on 11/18/2008, -1/+2I always thought that Smashing Pumpkins, pronounced with poor annunciation "smashin punkins", was kind of clever. Smashing little punks.

- Blacksoth, on 11/19/2008, -1/+7I agree. There are tons of crap band names out there. Seems like his list has more to do with his dislike of the music of said band then the actual name of the band.
- Hoogs, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2Modest Mouse is actually an awesome name and makes it sound like their music is good for some reason, even though I've never listened to them.
- sandersdamnit, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1they used to be good and now, well............ I hate to be that guy, but listen to everything before Good News for People Who Love Bad News and I'll leave it at that.
- turtlegroove, on 11/19/2008, -0/+0I never said they were bad bands...just ***** names. Well yes, 98 degress and Big Head Todd are bad. Dinosaur Jr. is one of my favorite bands of all time, but their name is stupid. Its amazing when you attack something "hip" all the scenesters get all defensive!
Now if I said Phish was stupid (which it is), Im sure it wouldnt get much hate. - Hoogs, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1If you think about it, pretty much all band names are goofy, but really, who cares? It's their music that counts.
- granolajoe, on 11/18/2008, -11/+207I absolutely ***** hate the Insane Clown Pussies
- IRAcarbombs, on 11/18/2008, -1/+63Werent they voted "Worst Band of All Time" by Rolling Stone or one of those magazines? They are absolutely horrible and their fans look like idiots.
- funkytaco, on 11/18/2008, -1/+65ICP fans are like dorks rejected by the Goth scene for being too backwoods.
- wycheck89yo, on 11/19/2008, -0/+21Nice ICP grammar. Juggalos are the red necks of goth.
- Mungo616, on 11/19/2008, -0/+14I don't usually agree with Rolling Stone, but for this I can make an exception.
- dr0psy, on 11/18/2008, -2/+23didnt they get worst band of all time from some source too? rolling stone maybe?
worst band and 2nd worst band name.. time to kill yourself.. - centran, on 11/18/2008, -0/+27SHHHhhhhh!!!! You will enrage the Juggalo's..... oh wait! this is the internet they can't harm you. carry on.

- FTLDavid, on 11/18/2008, -10/+2Keyboard commandos working their magic.
- AManWithNoName, on 11/18/2008, -2/+34The thing about ICP is that they stand for all the stupid ***** that's ever plagued music. Crappy rap? Got it. Cheesy face makeup? Check. White boys trying miserably to be badass? Huge check.
Every single one of their fans is a poser, and always will be.- FTLDavid, on 11/18/2008, -32/+2Have you said this to an ICP fans face, I doubt you have the balls. poser indeed.
- CoreyHalliwell, on 11/18/2008, -20/+9ICP actually stands for a lot of what Punk and RAP used to stand for. Freedom of expression, self love, and not giving a ***** what anyone else thinks. They're just as valid a band as any other in my opinion. And quite frankly i'd rather listen to them than A LOT of the bands that the ever so pretentious Rolling Stone plugs. I used to be into ICP Like hardcore, but keep in mind i was VERY VERY high the whole time. I don't listen to them that much anymore but i still respect them for going platinum with ZERO radio play. And if you wanna play the demographic game, you can find idiots in every direction music is pointed to.
- SplitHeavens, on 11/19/2008, -0/+13I have indeed said something alike to a juggalol, he flew pretty hard last time I saw him.

- lolmax, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3I wasnt exposed to ICP fans until I worked at a music store for a while. Its astounding how stupid and loyal these fans are. It's downright confusing and disturbing
- CTK14A, on 11/19/2008, -0/+5The Insane Clown Posse cost me a friendship. My best friend in grade school moved away for a year and came back a 'Juggalo.' He even made me watch the Insane Clown Posse movie, 'Big Money Hustlas.'

They stink like angst/trend/cliche and pop punk piles of steaming feces. - ngmcs8203, on 11/18/2008, -0/+8Who?
- jenniecaute, on 11/18/2008, -0/+4Meh. While I do enjoy ridiculous synthy over the top pop music, FTSK is as generic as the next band cashing in on the trend & the description aptly suited them. Go to one of their shows now & see who's there. I'll give you a hint: it's 12 year old girls in their Panic/Fall Out Boy shirts. The only reason FTSK blew up is because they aptly used the catchiest word in the history of song making "WOAHHHHHHH WoahHHhh woAHHHHH" and their name is proof of their hottopicxcore prepubescent scenester audience.
- Indierocka, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1Kudos to you sir, I have a friend that likes them and loves All Time Low, no matter how much evidence i provide, she will never believe that they in fact, suck really hard.

- frieddonuts, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1It's great because it's awful.
- Br3ach, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2Yeah I always thought their name had a ring to it for some reason, just has the same kind of ridiculous like Smashing Pumpkins or something.
- Jeepy, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3You know Metallica is kind of a really horrible name for a metal band and the only reason they pulled it off was by rocking so ***** hard for the get go.
- doublebummer, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1"The Butthole Surfers" is one of the best names ever. Even better was the name of Gibby's (lead singer) spin off band: "The JackOfficers"
- Ellsass, on 11/19/2008, -0/+3What about Panic! At the Disco or Puddle of Mudd?

- elmuerte17, on 11/18/2008, -5/+6Stryper was (and still is) amazing. On a related note, Michael Sweet, the frontman from Stryper, is acting vocalist for Boston on their tours. Don't be hating a band based on their ridiculous late-80's outfits. As far as the 80s hair-metal thing goes, they pretty much ended that when the 80s ended.
- petebot, on 11/18/2008, -0/+12Hey guys! We found the one Stryper fan!
- elmuerte17, on 11/19/2008, -1/+6Not surprising considering most of digg is evangelical atheists... not to mention a good deal of the kiddies are too young to even know what hair metal is.
- Kab00mKap0w, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2Sorry, bud, but just because someone may have talent doesn't mean they did a good job at displaying it. Stryper put out and inspired a whole movement of crappy Christian metal. Their fans were just dying to rock hard for Jesus, so they embraced the bands/music regardless of the poor quality.
- Blacksoth, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2For those that apparently don't know. Stryper was secular and never got anywhere. They reformed themselves into a Christian band and that's when they got noticed.
It's the music BUSINESS. :P - Sacrifice, on 11/20/2008, -0/+1I listened to Stryper in my teenage years. I liked the music, not so much the hair-band look. They look better today, though the drummer (the blonde) appears pretentious.

- coldwind777, on 11/18/2008, -0/+8I'd be interested in how you classify them...either way, the author was not terribly far off.

- elizabethb221, on 11/18/2008, -11/+4I agree with all except Boyz II Men. They will rule my life forever, no matter what their name is.

- BoonTobias, on 11/18/2008, -13/+12coheed and cambria
- trafficlight, on 11/19/2008, -1/+1I disagree. There is a fantastic backstory to the band and there songs. The lead singer wrote a series of comic books and then they turned them into songs. Coheed and Cambria are the two lead characters.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Coheed_and_cambria - LOGNATR, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4Maybe Claudio should have stuck to comics. His vocals alone are reason enough to view their entire discography as a musical atrocity. There's also the emo storyline dressed as sci-fi (WAHHHHH, my girlfriend dumped me, so now I'll write an entire story about how I want to kill her), the guitar parts that seep into nothing but pure wankery, the pretentious song titles, all culminating in a band so ridiculous you can't help but laugh at them.
Coheed sucks and their name sounds like they came straight from Amish country.

- trafficlight, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1Name Taken was a great band. Too bad they broke up.
- zCharden, on 11/19/2008, -1/+13But its a Smiths reference. You can't go bad with a reference to The Smiths.
- fadetoone, on 11/19/2008, -0/+8It probably wouldn't be as bad without that exclamation point.
- LightUrple, on 11/19/2008, -0/+14They recently dropped the ! from their name.
- Jelga, on 11/19/2008, -0/+4IIRC when they released their new album, they dropped the exclamation point. Found that out in the Rolling Stone actually...

**SPOILERS**
They're White- MasonZombie, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1Lol, wtf. I had never heard of them, thank you.
- mudgirl, on 11/18/2008, -4/+37I agree with most, but I don't understand why Rage is on the list.
- bayvet, on 11/18/2008, -3/+15yeah ***** them Rage's name is awesome
- LucerinRed, on 11/19/2008, -2/+7Rage's name is awesome....until you realize that they don't know what the ***** they're talking about. Seriously, they think the reason why the GOP took over the country is because they broke up. Not joking.
- Louis11, on 11/19/2008, -1/+3Source?
- LucerinRed, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2When asked why Rage was reuniting in early 2007, Morello responded, "Is it a coincidence that in the seven years that Rage Against The Machine has been away that the country has slid into right-wing purgatory? I think not."

Seriously, are they ***** retarded. If one band had that much power, changing society would be a lot easier. But if it would be anybody in music I'd like it to be somebody who actually went to college like the lead singer of Bad Religion instead of a bunch of guys that graduated from LA public schools. - SeaFour, on 11/19/2008, -1/+2Tom Morello graduated from Harvard with a degree in political science so I'm going to say that he's probably not retarded and that he said that tongue-in-cheek. I like BR too, but NMoH was a big disappointment.
- LucerinRed, on 11/19/2008, -0/+2my bad, De la rocha is the one that only went to HS.
- ryanonfire, on 11/18/2008, -5/+8Forever the Sickest Kids are douchebags: http://a720.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images01/21/l ...
- doublebummer, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1Wow. If there is a douche convention then they'll be manning the bag exhibit.
- 0260, on 11/18/2008, -11/+9always hated "the band"
- Fraff5, on 11/19/2008, -0/+6They actually made good music though.
- NumberFour, on 11/18/2008, -1/+16Rage against the Machine is a good name, and it seems others agree with me on that one.
Butthole surfers should be on the list too, I like the band but the name is ridiculous.
Honestly though the entire idea of this article is retarded, who cares what the name of the band is as long as the music is good. - Zyphon, on 11/18/2008, -0/+21Dugg for "You Look Adopted."
Even if it was irrelevant to the article.- Lixie, on 11/19/2008, -0/+1I actually searched iTunes for that song after reading about it. Unfortunately, no hits.
- KMFDM781, on 11/18/2008, -2/+14No Revolting *****? Anal ***** is awesome.
- floridiot2, on 11/19/2008, -3/+1I would rather listen to the death rattle of my only child than have to listen to Anal *****.
- jnkypt, on 11/19/2008, -0/+0I tried downloading some Anal *****'s songs to check them out, but I've had terrible luck so far.
