- BullHunter, on 11/17/2008, -3/+13Good thing they are wearing the English colors! Who are they supporting again?
- prophetpimp, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2Looks like Mumbai India which is the local twenty20 team in the ICL for Mumbai/Bombay.
- suminub, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2the foto is from the IPL...Mumbai Indians franchise cheerleaders. None of the IPL cheerleaders wore a sari...
- liljay2k, on 11/17/2008, -6/+1What are English colors, last I checked English was a language.
- idreamwideyed, on 11/17/2008, -0/+5what do you call people who are from England then? Englanders?
- liljay2k, on 11/17/2008, -4/+1British.
- sauron256, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2You do know the difference between England and Great Britain, right?
Do you also call people from Mexico "Americans"?
- kronix2, on 11/17/2008, -0/+6"English colours" are red and white. You're thinking of Britain, and there's no British cricket team.

- hpfilter, on 11/17/2008, -1/+2I guess they are of Royal Challengers Bangalore
- AMSRay, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3Thanks for the mammaries!
- hasiabh, on 11/17/2008, -0/+4those are acutally the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders. They were hired by Vijay Mallaya for the Bangalore Royal Challengers for the first few weeks of the IPL. They were accosted by the locals so many times that they were forced to leave midway during the season, and will not come back. Its a shame. They were the only thing that made a lot of the people watch the Royal Challengers, the team ended at the bottom of the table.
- azizrulez, on 11/17/2008, -1/+2they were second from bottom, hyderabad was bottom, get your facts right

- AmyVernon, on 11/17/2008, -3/+40This quote made me lol: "Why we always have to borrow the worst of the Western world is beyond me."
- chocula78, on 11/17/2008, -1/+5That's because the borrowed Redskins cheerleaders. They should have gone with the Eagle's Cheerleaders. Way hotter.

- Optiks, on 11/17/2008, -1/+2What's next? Indoor plumbing? Modern traffic control and civil infrastructure?
- Thinkerofthings, on 11/17/2008, -7/+20I was thought cricket was sort of gay, but after looking at those male cheerleaders... I now realize how manly the players are in comparison. I'm still not watching though
- leerayIG88, on 11/17/2008, -3/+11you will watch it and like it.
- Thinkerofthings, on 11/17/2008, -2/+1replace the guy cheerleaders with girls, and I'll consider it....;)
- GamingForever, on 11/17/2008, -3/+35"But I will not have them dressing up in short skirts, as it would be against our culture and traditions. Our audience won't accept it."
I'm sure the men in the audience would. :)- stutimandal, on 11/17/2008, -2/+3Actually they will not. American cheerleaders were hired on a contract basis for the IPL series in India but overall crowd called it distasteful (including the men).
- arjie, on 11/17/2008, -3/+6Really? As far as I know it went like this:
How distasteful! *ogle* *ogle ogle* Horrible! *ogle ogle* Culture!
Really man, friends of mine went to the matches.

*****. Religion is no match for the male sex drive. Toss some skirts out there and watch the fun.- lemur, on 11/18/2008, -0/+2I don't think it's any secret that in order to have decent civilization, people have to be intelligent enough to discern what is good and bad on a level that goes beyond physical pleasure. For example, my drive for physical gratification is strong but not strong enough to make me overeat or abuse narcotics; although I have drives to do those things, I know well enough not to do them.
- Supersh1t666, on 11/17/2008, -3/+5Buried for having more guys than gals

- RobotBuddha, on 11/17/2008, -0/+5Before getting too proud of how openminded we are, remember the jackson nipslip? I saw a summery of just how much of a legal uproar it caused, not even counting the public reaction, and it was shocking. We're a little further along as a culture, people under 30 or so are a lot further along, but as a whole we're still pretty terrified of the naked human form.
- dmark77, on 11/17/2008, -11/+4America rules.

- SuperSunny, on 11/17/2008, -0/+4It's not religion, it's culture. Most Christians from India dress the same as the Hindus in the same village.
It's all culture and tradition. Oh, this article is BULL, Indians will most likely accept skimpy cheerleaders. Ever seen a recent Bollywood flick? All bikini and skimpy
- SuperSunny, on 11/17/2008, -0/+4It's not religion, it's culture. Most Christians from India dress the same as the Hindus in the same village.
- temporaryescape, on 11/17/2008, -1/+3Who wants to see Indian guys in skimpy costumes anyway?
- andrew.bell, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1Didn't the ICL have "real" cheerleaders? Mostly from Australia.
- tushyd, on 11/17/2008, -0/+4Um... those aren't saris....
- RealmDown, on 11/17/2008, -1/+8"Sari about that, Chief."
- RoboCafaz, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1You do not cheer unless cheered to.
- simpletonian, on 11/17/2008, -2/+0"But I will not have them dressing up in short skirts, as it would be against our culture and traditions. Our audience won't accept it." Well thats baloney. He is just saying that to avoid further discussion. They know if they have "American" type cheerleaders in skirts, the crowd will go totally rowdy and can cause more trouble than BCCI can handle.
- chocula78, on 11/17/2008, -2/+4Does every other team in India have a cow as a mascot? I'm really curious. It'd be kind of like the bald eagle here.
- Jsmuli2, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3This is a Cheerocracy!
- still0lil0wagon, on 11/17/2008, -1/+3check out the gay guy on the left
- LostOnion, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3Why? You want him?
- notman, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2"but without skimpy costumes" ... thank god. After seeing that image, I don't want to see any more skin. Especially on those guys
- RobotBuddha, on 11/17/2008, -0/+1The ratio of moob cleavage to boob cleavage is sad.
- Duvali, on 11/17/2008, -0/+5what a horrible ratio.
- memper, on 11/17/2008, -2/+4If you're going to sell the image of women, the amount of clothing has very little to do with the moral issues. You're selling the image or you aren't; there isn't some playful middle ground of dabbling in the commerce of the female body. Allowing the choice of clothing to dictate the sexual nature of a woman is the road to blaming a victim of rape on her choice of sexy clothing. By cladding these woman in some arbitrary costume of morality, they fetishize the opposite.
- lemur, on 11/18/2008, -0/+1You win the most insightful comment award.
Even if one dresses "modestly," undertaking an inherently immodest endeavor defeats the purpose.

- brb2122, on 11/17/2008, -3/+1Not funny anymore how Indians copy, it was kinda cool years ago when we had a version of who wants to be a millionaire but now the copy list is endless on TV and everywhere.
last time I visited I even saw a Dollar Store :) what next ? are we going to Chase Turkeys on Thanksgiving ! LOL.
No wonder Indian PM hugged Dubya and said we love American or something like that.- andy9590, on 11/17/2008, -2/+1You are damn right. Indians tend to copy everything western cause lets face it, India can't make *****. Except for Agarbati and cow dung of course.
- hwy9nightkid, on 11/17/2008, -1/+1and the number zero
- brb2122, on 11/17/2008, -1/+0Well thats gone too far, India is way ahead technologically than may Asian countries. One has to be under a rock to not notice their latest mission to Moon while most of it neighbors cannot shoot a pencil 5 feet from the ground.

"Indian culture" gimme a break
no man would object to a sexy cheerleader in a bikini - stutimandal, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3They are not wearing sari.
- spiridon, on 11/17/2008, -1/+3Great!
Lots of camel toe :-P - fluffyturtle, on 11/17/2008, -1/+3WTF, there seems to be four guys and two girls... How is that a cheerleading squad?
- SportsBrotha, on 11/17/2008, -1/+0Cricket matches are pretty long, would they be cheering the whole time? Props to them if they have the stamina to do that.
- MrBogard, on 11/17/2008, -0/+3If Cheerleaders are the worst of the Western world, I must have horrible taste (and I love it).
- irishjays, on 11/17/2008, -0/+2OMG! like, um, that is like so good for like poor countries, to like, be involved, and cheer!
- DarkBlueAnt, on 11/17/2008, -0/+4I bet their cheers are like wacky Bollywood movies... and like 40 minutes long.

- cooolst, on 12/29/2008, -0/+0may be, they didn't understand the concept of cheer leading... cheer leaders are meant to be gals and most importantly must wear as much less clothes as possible... WTF, this isn't cheerleading...
