- niradg, on 12/02/2008, -11/+10nice to see that the wall street bailout money is being put to good use.
- Ymeg, on 12/03/2008, -7/+6Where does it say that he was a recipient of the bail out money?
- groo68, on 12/03/2008, -3/+6It said he was rich didn't it?
- Ymeg, on 12/03/2008, -7/+6Where does it say that he was a recipient of the bail out money?
- bonk2k, on 12/03/2008, -5/+6Screw Vail, there's much better places to ski and snowboard.
- urbandistrict, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3Whistler/BC! Super chill place. No snobbery.
PS. SoCal WTF..... SNOOOOOOW NOW! Truckee/Sierra are looking dirty...even for the good girl that always puts out– Mammy. - SteelProboscis, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1Winter Park/Mary Jane are closer to Denver, have comparable terrain, and you park for free. Vail is for Texans.
- stmbtrtev, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1Not to mention your pass is good at Steamboat and Copper.
- RealHyperX, on 12/03/2008, -1/+1Yeah on xbox

- fr0ng, on 12/03/2008, -10/+5My parking spot was $500,001.
- nigelmansell, on 12/03/2008, -2/+3in retrospect, with 1/2 million dollars, Buzz Schleper could afford to purchase better schizo pills
- KevinRWright, on 12/03/2008, -1/+11I would totally park in their spot just to piss them off.
- mattyboy555, on 12/03/2008, -3/+7I would just take a taxi...
BAM! $499, 960 saved/- RealHyperX, on 12/03/2008, -1/+2you save like my wife saves

- jugarcukko30, on 12/03/2008, -20/+0
- omjeremy, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4And, the third article I've read where you've posted your ***** spam. GTFO.
- hollywoodphony, on 12/03/2008, -2/+8I'd build a tiny little house in that spot and rent it out to some super rich midgets. You gotta spend money to make money.
- StevesJobs, on 12/03/2008, -4/+1I know this guy's nephew!
- drakethegreat, on 12/03/2008, -2/+6Wow I understand Supply and Demand but I never figured people were stupid enough to pay hundreds of thousands of dollars to park someplace. Priorities in life are apparently completely retarded for some. This goes for NYC too. If you are sitting on a waiting list for $300,000+ on a ***** parking spot, take Public Transit or reevaluate why you live in NYC but don't want to...
- lostsymphonies1, on 12/03/2008, -2/+6My space costs me 10,000 times less than that a month
oh and also, a real estate agent for a parking spot....lol - StrykeBlade, on 12/03/2008, -3/+1..........requesting face palm!!!!
- VailBum, on 12/03/2008, -1/+4I used to work as security for Vail associates, and everyone of these spots gets sold every year. Even with the housing market where it is, you see houses up here sell for $13,000,000. Puts the price of a parking spot in perspective. There is no such thing as recession in Vail, it's called no snow.
- 47f0, on 12/03/2008, -0/+7***** us. No, not ***** us as Americans. No, not ***** the privileged few of us for being wealthy. ***** us as humans for prioritizing a parking place over all the other places half a million could do something meaningful. From kids on the reservations in New Mexico to African villages that just need some damn clean water - none of those matter more than a ***** upscale parking space. You have to have the heart of a goddamned gila monster to think a place to park your Lambo matters more than a kid who is dying tonight.
- ericthesalmon, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1It's not like the money goes away. The $500,000 has just been transferred from one rich ***** to another. Maybe the seller is more likely to then spend it on antiretrovirals and unicorns and mosquito nets and puppies?
- ericthesalmon, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1It's not like the money goes away. The $500,000 has just been transferred from one rich ***** to another. Maybe the seller is more likely to then spend it on antiretrovirals and unicorns and mosquito nets and puppies?
- PoopTart, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3***** the Vail Daily, don't even click on the link to this site. Don't give them your support. Recently a new newspaper was introduced in Vail called the "Vail Mountaineer", by the same people who introduced the Vail Daily years ago. When the Vail Daily became successful, it was bought out, and it has since then turned to *****. The Vail Mountaineer aims to take back what was so great about the Vail Daily years ago, and of course the current owners are pissed. Since then they have been doing things such as pulling ads for non-profit organizations just because the organization also put ads in the Vail Mountaineer, and this is just one example. These people are scumbags.
- StrykeBlade, on 12/03/2008, -1/+0***** ***** ***** *****
- StrykeBlade, on 12/03/2008, -0/+0for the ***** of it!
- omjeremy, on 12/03/2008, -0/+4Even if you pay $100 a day for parking and park there everyday it would take you over 13 years to pay for a spot that expensive. Think about that.
- Scottay, on 12/03/2008, -1/+0Half a mill for to park your ride? Your Ride just Pimped You Biiatch!
- FongoBongo, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1wait until the parking credit crisis hits vail, they're screwed.
- digitalhair, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3meaningless - ***** meaningless wealth.
how utterly dispicable...
...these people...
if this is what is meant by survival of the fittest, what the hell are we struggling to survive for? - hotsauzz, on 12/03/2008, -2/+2To all the playa hatas ridiculing the "rich" for being willing to buy a $500K spot. THIS IS A GOOD THING.
Flow and distribution of money is a very positive thing for the economy. Some rich playboy buys this spot, which gives the guy that owns the spot a ton of extra spending money, who then goes out and buys goods from YOUR PLACE OF EMPLOYMENT, which keeps the economic engine running.
I love it when I see rich folks spending money on "trivial", luxury, or unnecessary items. More money for the rest of us.- digitalhair, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1ridiculous trickle-down theory we've all heard before...
why, then, is the income gap as big as it is, and and why is it growing exponentially? the middle class must be too busy feeling sorry for itself, squandering all of the opportunities the ruling elite are providing (just look at Kenneth Lay's $10,000 shower curtain! *brought Joe Curtain from rags to riches!)
This frivolous spending just exchanges hands to perpetuate more frivolous spending...
- the goal in these circles is to see who can hoard so much wealth that they're able to buy outrageously-priced, meaningless items -- parading their lavish lifestyle to anyone that cares to notice -- while simultaneously remaining rich enough to maintain their relative position at the top of the ancient socioeconomic ladder thanks to their absurd amount of wealth.
This is not how hard-earned money is spent. This is how money belonging to other people is spent.
- digitalhair, on 12/03/2008, -0/+1ridiculous trickle-down theory we've all heard before...
- erichh, on 12/03/2008, -0/+2Since parking in the summer is free, that leaves 148 days during the ski season when I would have to pay to park. If I paid $25 every time I parked during ski season, it would take me 135 years to break even. That is, if I was dumb enough to pay Buzz $500,000 for his parking space!
- NeoCortex, on 12/03/2008, -0/+3I think it would be cheaper to just park wherever the hell you want and pay the parking tickets.
